Best AI-powered personal finance platforms in India (2026) — and what each one is actually built for

AI finance app bolke sab ek jaisa lagta hai. Hai nahi. Koi sirf samjhata hai, koi kharch categorise karta hai, aur bahut kam actually ITR file karte hain ya stock analyse karte hain. Marketing sabki ek jaisi hai — kaam sabka alag.

Quick context: Everything below describes each platform the way that platform describes itself — taken from its own website and app store listing as of August 2026. Nothing here is a hands-on test, a ranking, or a claim about what a competitor lacks. Where a feature is marked None found, it means we did not find it publicly documented, not that it is absent. Features in this category change monthly; verify anything that matters to your decision directly with the platform.

"AI-powered personal finance" has turned into one of those phrases that means five different things depending on which app you open.

Some apps use AI to explain a concept in plain language. Some use it to auto-categorise your spending. A smaller number use it to actually file your return or analyse a stock. None of them is doing the same job, even when the marketing sounds identical.

This is a straightforward look at the platforms Indian users are actually comparing in 2026, what each one is genuinely built for, and where VittSphere ONE sits in that picture.

The category is really four different products

Most comparisons in this space lump together tools that do not compete for the same job. It helps to split them first:

A tool from the first group and a tool from the third group are not really alternatives to each other, even though search results place them side by side.

The current field

Richify

A free, manual-entry app on iOS and Android, built around an AI CFO named Felix who coordinates a team of named specialist agents covering financial health scoring, education, mortgages and scenario planning. It deliberately does not connect to your bank, positioning this as a privacy-first design choice rather than a limitation.

It tracks stocks, mutual funds, EPF, NPS, gold and real estate in one place, with India-specific FY 2026-27 calculators for income tax, advance tax, gratuity, LTCG, F&O and crypto. Richify is explicit that it offers financial education and organisation, not licensed investment advice, and it does not file returns.

Simplify Money (Kuber.AI)

A voice-and-chat-first app built around an AI agent called Kuber.AI. Its headline feature, Tax Pilot, reads your Form 16, AIS and 26AS directly from the income tax portal, picks the applicable ITR form, pre-fills it and files — the company cites a filing time of roughly seven minutes. Outside tax season the same chat interface handles budgeting insights, gold, FDs and insurance guidance.

The company is DPIIT-recognised, and its mutual fund distribution runs through an AMFI-registered subsidiary. Neither entity is a SEBI-registered investment adviser — a distinction the company states plainly on its own site.

INDmoney

A multi-asset tracking app covering Indian stocks, mutual funds, US stocks, fixed deposits and bank account aggregation, with net worth tracking that can extend across family members inside the app. It is one of the more capital-backed platforms here and has the deepest US-investing and LRS-related integration of the group. It is built primarily as a tracking and investing app rather than as a CA-reviewed filing service.

ET Money

Backed by The Economic Times' parent group and built around mutual fund investing. Its Genius feature analyses existing fund holdings and suggests switches to better-fitting alternatives. Core tracking and investing are free; the Genius review sits behind a paid tier priced on the ET Money platform itself. A strong, well-established option for SIP-first investors.

Groww

Primarily a broking and mutual fund platform rather than an AI-CFO-style product. It is here mainly because it surfaces in the same searches. Its core job is letting people buy and sell — not consolidating a financial picture or filing a return.

Where VittSphere ONE fits

VittSphere ONE is built around three things the platforms above either split across separate products or do not offer: CA-reviewed ITR filing, HUF tax planning and setup, and forensic-style stock research through Stock X-Ray — alongside ARTHA, an AI advisor that works in Hinglish and other Indian languages. It connects to bank statements and broker accounts for auto-import rather than staying manual-entry only, and every tax suggestion is tied to the specific section of the Income Tax Act it comes from.

That last point is the one worth dwelling on, because it is where a CA-built product differs from a technology-built one. A suggestion you cannot trace to a section is a suggestion you cannot defend in a reply to an Assessing Officer.

The same limit applies to us. VittSphere ONE is not a SEBI-registered Research Analyst or Investment Adviser. Stock X-Ray is built and positioned as educational analysis, not a buy or sell recommendation. Every platform on this page sits under the same restriction, and any of them telling you otherwise would be the thing to worry about.

Side by side

Each row states what that platform documents about itself publicly, as of August 2026.

None found means the feature is not documented publicly on that platform's own site or listing as of August 2026 — not that it does not exist. A feature can be present and undocumented, or added after this was written. Treat the column as a prompt to check, not as a finding.

How to actually choose

Work backwards from the job, not from the feature list:

And it is entirely reasonable to use two. A manual tracker for the monthly glance and a CA-backed tool for the return is a perfectly sensible combination — nothing here is exclusive.

Frequently asked questions

Is any of these platforms a substitute for a SEBI-registered investment adviser?
No — and that includes VittSphere ONE. Every platform in this comparison positions its AI-driven insights and stock analysis as educational rather than as licensed investment advice. If you need personalised investment advice, that requires a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst, and none of these platforms is one.
In mein se ITR actually kaun file karta hai?
Is comparison mein do — VittSphere ONE aur Simplify Money — lekin model alag hai. VittSphere ONE submission se pehle return ko CA review se guzarta hai. Simplify Money ka Tax Pilot chat interface ke through end-to-end automate karta hai. Richify, INDmoney, ET Money aur Groww ke liye return filing core feature nahi hai.
Agar family mein HUF hai toh kaunsa platform behtar hai?
Yahan compare kiye gaye platforms mein se sirf VittSphere ONE par humein HUF eligibility check aur setup support publicly documented mila. Yeh kaafi specific zarurat hai — agar aapke case mein matter karti hai toh general net worth tracking features se zyada weight isko dijiye.
Can I use two of these together instead of picking one?
Yes, and plenty of people do — a manual-entry tracker for a quick net worth snapshot alongside a separate CA-backed tool for the return. Nothing about these products makes them mutually exclusive. This comparison is meant to clarify what each one actually does, not to argue that only one can be used.
How current is this comparison?
It is a snapshot of what each platform stated publicly as of August 2026, taken from each company's own website and app store listing. This category ships features quickly and regulatory registrations change, so verify anything that matters to your decision directly with the platform before acting on it.
Table mein "None found" ka matlab kya hai?
Iska matlab hai ki us feature ka public documentation humein us platform ki apni website ya listing par nahi mila — yeh nahi ki feature maujood hi nahi hai. Ho sakta hai woh feature ho lekin publicly documented na ho, ya humare check karne ke baad add hua ho. Isliye "None found" likha hai, "not available" nahi.
